Assistance League® of Greater San Diego is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to meeting the needs of our community’s children and adults through its philanthropic programs.  We are “Volunteers reaching out to fulfill community needs.”

Assistance League® of Greater San Diego focuses its efforts on the neediest of San Diego’s low-income citizens, especially its children.  Eight programs offer individual support and enrichment for students in eight area school districts, educational advocacy and scholarship assistance to students at San Diego's alternative high school and junior college graduates, and emergency assistance to victims of medical and personal emergencies.  Our largest program, Operation School Bell, directly provides school clothing, shoes and supplies to children in grades kindergarten through six.  We also recognize the great benefit we provide to members of the general public who are provided access to quality, low cost merchandise donated to our Thrift Shop.
